Miley Cyrus land's TWO major Magazine covers for March 2014. Including some tasteful photos where she bare's ALL!

Alright alright, I know we are all tired of hearing about the Miley Cyrus buzz and what tools she has or hasn't "licked", along with all sort's of her body part's being exposed in the last few months in a un classy manner.

But in these up coming release's, there are two photoshoot's she's had that will be blowing your mind on two accounts. To say that everyone's jaw's will be on the ground after this release will be and understatement. To say the least, I am very impressed she bares all for a magazine shoot that actually turned out quite tasteful.. not that I am in disbelief of what Vogue photographer's and stylists are capable of, but more on the lines of how the word's "Classy" and "Sophisticated" don't normally fall in Miley Cyrus's Vocab.

You may or may not have seen her latest Tweet with tag line "German Smilers make sure to pick up German Vogue by Mario Testino "

A few sneak peek photo's were released on her twitter in the last few hour's of the amazing cover she landed for Germany's Vogue Magazine, titled "Blonde Engel" (Translated to "Blonde Angel"). Although just giving us a sneak peek of some incredibly tasteful photo's, do not be blinded by that she has appeared in the magazine topless, which let's be realistic... isn't a shocker. Viewing the teaser photo's for Vogue, it seems to have a very "Madonna meet's Marilyn Monroe" look to some of the images, very polished and classy (the one's with her clothes on obviously).

You have the high waist shorts and red lip stick with lush blonde curls, which has been such a staple look over the last few decades. I must applaud her stylist because the looks are stunning and very well put together. But none the less there are some topless photo's through out the spread, but at least she made part of it classy right? It will be interesting to see how it turned out!

I'm very excited to get my hands on a copy when released. The issue is for March 2014, will be on news stands Februray 10th.
For more info and preview photo's check out http://www.vogue.de/ .

Her second major cover she scored is with W Magazine where she bares all ! The cover photo is her nude in bed with a casual of a few pillows. If the title "No Apologies, Miley Cyrus Laid Bare" doesn't catch your eye, then the photo spread will.

The photoshoot is absolutely brilliant. Totally different styling and look from what I've seen her in before, of course she did the whole nude thing which will catch alot of attention for media, but does that surprise you? The cover is styled stunningly, great choice of jewelry, again sporting the more natural look with heavy metal tones with a hint of sparkle. Love love LOVE it!

An interview she had with Ronan Farrow for W Magazine showed us how she really feels about the industry and why she doesn't care what you think of her. Check out the full story here. W Magazine

The black and white photos are my favorite and of course there is a nip slip in there. Over all I am feeling the vibe of it! Less makeup is more these days. She looks alot older than she is and much more sophisticated, totally loving this look! Wait till the issue drops to see her bare all....

People can complain all they want about her but right now I am very impressed with these spreads.

What does Miley have planned for us next?  and at 21 who will stop her?

Stay tuned for a follow up review once they are officially dropped!

We want your feed back, what did you think about the Magazine spreads? Will it be to controversial? Post your comments !

2014 Welcome's BEAUTY WEEK!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and is having a great start to the new year !

This is my first of many post's of 2014 YAY!

I have decided to do a BEAUTY WEEK post on answering questions that I get alot from viewers. I decided to call it Beauty Week, which starts today.

So all the new viewers have a chance to get to know the writer (aka me ),  Which means I will be posting one blog post everyday this week on the inside scoop of all my favorite products and daily "go-to's" I use in the wonderful world of Beauty.

I thought i'd start it by answering some questions that I have been getting from viewers for the last few months. I have been quite well known for my "Big" hair, makeup etc and have been meaning to post tutorials on all that stuff for many months now.
But being 2014 now (haha) I am committed to getting a few tutorial videos out for everyone within the next short bit here, answering some questions I get, such as... My day to day makeup, my evening makeup, fashion, whats in my bag, what face products I use, out fits, style inspiration, nails etc!

So for the first of SEVEN posts this week I will be tackling the biggest question I get alllllll the time!

"How do you do your hair? ".

For years and years I have been asked this question! as of many others such as: How do you get so much volume ? How do you get your hair so shiny? What products do you use in your hair? What Shampoo & Conditioner do you use?

Well today is the day I spill my hair secrets!

To start off my hair journey I am very dedicated to using Redken Hair Products! So first and foremost I use Redken's " All Soft" Shampoo & Conditioner.
I am a big fan of having soft and silky hair because I have very thick and sometimes frizzy hair, I find that this helps tame alot of the frizz and of course gives it the soft and shiny touch making it look full and healthy. I have been using this product for the last year and a half and don't plan on going back!  If you are like me and have long thick hair, I tend to use lots of conditioner so I always suggest getting the big bottles as they are cheaper and last alot longer.

Redken All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner can be bought at any professional Hair Salon ( not drug store's).
Average price is $15-$25 (Canadian) per bottle.

TIP! * I bought hand pumps for mine as it is alot easier than having a handful in the shower.

Next Step!

Drying your hair:

There are many different opinions on how you should dry your hair properly. I always choose to let my hair dry naturally my self, so that I am not frying it blow drying it all the time. If you notice in alot, if not most hair salons, when you go to get a hair cut and they wash your hair, they only leave it in the towel for less than five minutes, on top of that if you pay close attention you will notice that they don't "soak" the towel into your hair. If you can, when you get out of the shower try to let everything dry even with out using a towel! This way it secures the moisture in your hair for better healthier hair.

Next Step!

Straightening your hair with a flat iron:

First rule of thumb is ALWAYS have a hair protector spray! I never use to believe in this but until i found the perfect product I will now never look back!!

I have tried every product on the market anywhere ranging from $5-$50 hair protection spray and I finally found the perfect one after giving up for ages! It's called "Silk Elements" which can be found at any Sally's store ! It only retails for $6.00 online! Can you believe it! I was like "What ever it's only $6, might as well try it!" and the lovely ladies at Sally's swear by it and what do you know it's great!

It comes in a medium sized bottle and literally only need a few squirts and that's it. Not only is it good for heat protection when straightening your hair but by far it's been the best product I've used ( besides my shampoo & conditioner) for getting a complete soft silky feel.

TIP! *Make sure not to go hard core with using this product, you literally only needs a few quirts. Best way to spray it is to make sure you spray a quarter way down your hair and not getting the roots area ( that way you don't get oily looking roots) and make sure you spray at least 1 foot away from the direct area you are spraying, if not then you will over due it and it  can easily become greasy!

When straightening hair I always make sure I section off my hair for the best results. Many people don't know that I have pretty curly/frizzy hair naturally so I have to take extra time to straighten it to ensure the frizz comes out ( especially under your ears). You want to straighten your hair section by section and nice and slow so that the iron will straighten at a consistent level.

TIP* Make sure you start straightening your hair at least a few inches away from your scalp. This will ensure that you are not damaging your roots ( very important!). If anything your roots will be a bit "fluffier" or frizzier so that it can add for wanted volume later.

Next Step!

Back combing your hair! ( the fun part)

This is the step that I find alot of people struggle with the most hence why I get so many people asking how I achieve so much volume everyday.

The secret to backcombing is actually not necessarily in which COMB you use it'self but how you comb it (and hair spray haha).

So my biggest secret has always been not spending over $1 on a comb. I would get a simple $1 comb from the dollar store or walmart (you want the comb with teeth that go from big to little). I always found these work the best and it's super cheap! As a secondary brush that I have started to use even in the last month that I thought I would test out is the Denman Dress out  Brush, surprisingly i loved it ! It has thicker bristles so it can grab more hair to back comb.

Again you want to section your hair starting with your lower section. Alot of people start from the top and it may work for you, but I find that it works way better when you start from your lowest section and "build" up.
Your first section should start from the crown of your head. You want to split the first layer of hair into three sections, you can start from either side or the back ( middle) it doesn't matter. From there you want to lift the ends ( holding roughly the middle bunch of the hair to secure it) and simply brush downwards close to the roots ( starting maybe 2-3 inches away from your roots). You don't need to comb hard, you can do this several times until you achieve the crazy volume you want! Do not be afraid of how bad it looks when its all combed and out of control, the crazier the better (for now) !
Repeat this with each section of hair, then once around the desired areas you want volume you can pull down the next layer of hair, repeat until the final layer. Once you have back combed your final layer it might look crazy and lumpy! Not to worry! Simply take a brush ( any regular brush) and brush it out half way, repeat back combing until desired volume is achieved.

TIP! * If simply back combing your hair with a comb does not give you the desired look you can try using a hair crimper and simply crimp the first inch and a half of your roots then back comb them. This creates instant volume!

Final step is to finish it with hair spray! I usually will spray each section I back comb to ensure that I get maximum stability and then do an over spray all over once everything is set into place. Once this is done I normally brush the ends ( starting at my neck ) and brush out everything to ensure the rest of my hair is nice and straight. You can touch up with your straightener if desired.

My  biggest secret I have is Hair Spray! Everyone always wants to know what secret product I use! Besides the back combing taking alot of practice the hair spray does play alot into being able to hold the look. The hair spray I use is called " Bed Head, Hard Head" By TIGI . I have tried their products before and was never a fan to be honest, just thought that most of them blended in with all the other products i've tried over the years. But this one stuck! I started using this stuff a few years ago and wouldn't use anything else. With using it everyday the bottle normally lasts me at least 3 months and retails at $20.99 - Which can be purchased at any Hair Salon as well as Drug Store.

Now you know some of my biggest hair secrets and the fun products I use!

PRODUCT RECAP:
1. Redken "All Soft" Shampoo & Conditioner
2. Straightener I use is a Chi Straightener.
3. "Silk Elements" Mega Silk Heat Protection
4. Dollar store comb & a "Dress out brush" - Denman
5. "Bed Head, Hard Head" Hair Spray by TIGI

I hope this online tutorial was helpful! I will be releasing a series of Youtube Tutorials for everything I will be covering this week for Beauty Week, but those are in the near future!

Our Favorite Q & A ! And the winner of our Swag Bag from our Sponsor Dori's Diamonds!

Ladies & Gentleman ! Meet Rhi Blossom , A very talented and beautiful model in British Columbia, Agency: Charles Stuart International.

Can you believe she is only 16 years old!?

This is how she introduces her self! "Hi! I'm Rhi Blossom :3 I am a young, and fairly experienced alien (model) who space travels often and sits on stars. Stay raddd! "

We ALSO! Have chosen her to be the winner of our Swag Bag from one of our sponsors Dori's Diamonds!!

Check out this Q & A we had with her, she has an incredible out look and an even more impressive Portfolio!

Explain your self in 5 words?
-esoteric-introverted-creative-literate-open minded

What “style” genre would you consider your self to be?
I am of my own style and/or genre. My style changes and grows as i do and is unique to myself. I believe everyone has their own style which only they can describe simply by living.

Where did your  name come from?
I decided on the stage name Rhi Blossom because I adore metaphors and Gwen Stefani. Rhi is just my nickname but the Blossom bit came from a Gwen song in which she says "born to blossom, bloom to perish". For me, this signified that you are always growing and changing and if you stop doing both of those things, then it's safe to assume you're dead. That's how I interpreted it anyway  []

What age were you when it hit you to want to become who you are today?
Simply put, I have always wanted to be the person I am today. I say that because I content with my current self and am truly happy at this time in my life. As far as modelling goes, the idea really interested me when I was first scouted at 14 for since I was a small child I was always enthralled by fashion and style, and I still am! Modelling was definitely a lucky way to get in on the industry i've always dreamt of being a part of and I really don't know how I became contender but i am so happy to be where I am now.

What are or who are some of your influences/inspiration ?
Marilyn Manson, Gwen Stefani, Grimes, Dita Von Teese, Cara Delevingne, and my friends inspire the heck outta me! Books, exploring, poetry, and forests have a great impact on me as well.

How long has your business been around?
I became interested in modelling when I was 15 years old, having been scouted several times during that year. However, I only really got serious about it when I signed with Charles Stuart International which was about a month and a half ago. I have now been in the business seriously for 1.5 months and I utterly adore it.

What is your plan for the next year? How do you plan on expanding?
My master plan will always be to keep being my crazy self, to work hard and have fun with radtastic people along the way! I also hope to travel to Asia later this year so stay tuned ;3

Where do you see your self in five years?
Running around to castings and shoots with a burger in one hand and my composition book in the other hehe.

What kind of people are drawn to your work?
I have a Facebook page, a twitter account, and instagram. I can't quite define those who engage in my work because there really seems to be a large variety of awesome humans who support me and who are amused by my work (thank you all!!). Everyone is quite different from one another and I love seeing that diversity on my pages because it offers so many perspectives with which I can better myself and my work.

Favorite place you have traveled?
I love Portugal. The people are so friendly in my grandmother's home town and I enjoy living amongst quaint little houses and going for jaunts on roads made of stone.

Have you traveled for your work?
Any impressive accomplishments you’d like to brag about?
I suppose a most recent accomplishment would be that I got 8 callbacks at Faces West for my first year ^_^

Do you have any fun adventures coming up?
Plenty of shoots and things. Those are always adventures of their own. As I mentioned before though, I may be going to Asia (fingers crossed)

What does your product say about you? what do you try to get across in the way you do business?
I have always valued individualism, professionalism, and kindness, so I try to embrace all of those in my brand.

Do you have any pets?
I have a dog named Digger who is the queen bee, really. Her pastimes include napping, being carried for walks, and biting her pikachu toy.

What’s your favorite bar to go to ?
I'm not really into drinking. I prefer milk :3 I'm not allowed in most because i'm 16 but does Dairy Queen count? I go there loads!

What’s your dream vacation destination ?
Brazil. The energy, the culture, and the people fascinate me. It would inspire great ideas and new adventures i think.

If there’s one place/thing in the world that makes you feel most safe, where/what is it?

I like being on the roof of any building. It is quiet and peaceful and away from the world, in a sense. I like to watch the people below as they live and laugh and play on what seems to be my own little world. Roofs are nice to think on too, because there is always so much to see and feel and smell, and yet so little to distract you from these beautiful happenings.

Ladies & Gentleman! Meet The Rondel Roberts Band

Explain your self in 5 words?
Modern Soul with Vintage Qualities
What “style” genre would you consider your self to be?
Neo-Soul that borrows from Afro-Caribbean, Latin, Lo Fi,  and Hip.Hop Music.
Where did your company name come from?
We spent hours going through band names and could not find anything that defined us collectively. Band names can get corny you see. We decided to use "The Rondel Roberts Band" because it allowed us to be whatever we wanted, on a per performance basis. It was also because our lead singers name has a nice ring to it.
What age were you when it hit you to want to become who you are today?
We all come from very musical families. We all took an interest in music at a young age by being exposed to some of the best recordings ever released. I think we all knew that we wanted to perform in stadiums the first time we jammed in our  "garage" bands. We knew that we wanted to go all the way when we (TRRB) had the entire dancefloor jumping, on the first song of our first show. And that song was an original.
What are or who are some of your influences/inspiration ?
We are influenced by a wide array of music which is apparent in our choice of covers. Rondel is influenced by Bob Marley, Ben Harper and Bill Withers. His anarchist approach to music shows apparent influence from artists like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix and his songwriting resonates singers like Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan. Jamil is influenced by artists like D'Angelo, Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson. He started out playing Grunge, moved to Latin Jazz and now his style ranges from Motown to Jazz, Reggae to Dancehall and from Hip Hop to Funk. Brad is a rock player who has been studying funk bass and groove and Jamison is a Jazz trained drummer with better taste in music than the entire band.
How long has your business been around?
We have been active for a little over a year.
What is your plan for the next year?
We have just finished doing an inspiring Summer circuit that had us on stage every week at great events/venues such as The Unicorn Pub, Vintage Chophouse, The CJSW Summer Street Series on Stephen Ave, Suds for Floods at Telus Spark, The Annual Calgary Sun & Salsa Festival and many others. We have been on a recording schedule for our debut album that we are planning on releasing in Spring. Once we release,we are planning on promoting the album at music festivals in Calgary and eventually go on a tour to build some buzz.
How do you plan on expanding?
Our expansion is somewhat dependant on how well the album does. The music industry can be tough on the indepedant end. Our goal is to record and release good music that resonates with people. Expansion for us would be to broaden our contribution to music enthusiasts by supporting other independant artists.
Where do you see your self in five years?
It is hard to say but contingencies considered, we hope that we are on bigger stages, playing for bigger audiences and recording for a solid fanbase in five years.
What kind of people are drawn to your work? How do you market your self?
Due to the vintage nature of our sound and the modern content we offer in our songwriting, we draw a broad demographic. The songs appeal to people from ages 16-40+ because it is nostalgic to the golden eras of music yet still adorns elements of modern charting songs. We market ourselves through performance and will have a multi-faceted marketing plan ready before release. So far we have been booked based on Youtube recordings.
Do you have a online shop? local store?
Our website is the best way to keep track of what we have to offer. For now, it is oriented towards providing a means for our fans to keep in touch. We will be using it to sell merchandise eventually. We will also be releasing music and post media and dates on a regular basis once a single is released.
Favorite place you have traveled?
Rondel - Trinidad
Jamil - India
Brad - Europe

Have you traveled for your work?
Only within Alberta
Any impressive accomplishments you’d like to brag about?
We were nominated for the "Best Performer" Award at The Black Gold Awards this year WITH NO RELEASE. We have been performing for a year and have been keeping busy through the power of word of mouth and merit based marketing.
Do you have any fun adventures coming up?
We are throwing a New Years Party at The Unicorn with a surprise Opening Band. This show will be one of the best ones we have ever produced.
What does your product say about you? what do you try to get across in the way you do business?
We are professional musicians who love music. Some musicians like to play music but sometime you can tell that they don't share the sentiment. When each of us listen to music, we can't help but respond to melodies and rhythm, physically and emotionally. We hope our performances and recordings illustrate our passion through song. We incorporate best practices in how we conduct business. We have been performing for a long time and are proficient in creating and maintaining business relationships.
Do you have any pets?
No
What’s your favorite bar to go to ?
The Unicorn, TYN Lounge, Ship & Anchor
What’s your dream vacation destination ?

The Americana Music Triangle - Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans
